York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority (YNYCA) has provided Better Connect with £500,000 of Trailblazer funding to support the Department for Work and Pensions 'Get Britain Working' policy. Through this funding YNYCA wishes to invest in a community grants fund to support economically inactive adults to build confidence and interpersonal skills to increase their employability.

Grants of between £10k to £25k are available to organisations from the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) Sector and Parish and Town Councils that connect work, health and skills to target priority cohorts/communities of economically inactive people in our region.

Please use this form to apply to Better Connect for a Trailblazer Community Grant. This form will capture information abour your organisation, assess your suitability and eligibility for a grant and provide you with an opportunity to share your provision/delivery idea that helps to support those who are economically inactive and to better connect work, health and skills in your community.
