  • York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority (YNYCA) has provided Better Connect with £500,000 of Trailblazer funding to support the Department for Work and Pensions 'Get Britain Working' policy. Through this funding YNYCA wishes to invest in a community grants fund to support economically inactive adults to build confidence and interpersonal skills to increase their employability.

    Grants of between £10k to £25k are available to organisations from the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) Sector and Parish and Town Councils that connect work, health and skills to target priority cohorts/communities of economically inactive people in our region.

    Please use this form to apply to Better Connect for a Trailblazer Community Grant. This form will capture information abour your organisation, assess your suitability and eligibility for a grant and provide you with an opportunity to share your provision/delivery idea that helps to support those who are economically inactive and to better connect work, health and skills in your community.

    In order to award your organisation a Trailblazer Community Grant, we must be confident that you are able to meet the monitoring requirements as requested by Better Connect, the York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority and the DWP.
